BIRMINGHAM RABBI

I Love Limericks!

By Izzy Ess Of Helplessness

An ambitious young rabbi from Birmingham
Avoided the sixes and all curried ham;
He diddled Marie
A girl of Capri
And fathered a baby named Tom Silly Sam.

He wanted to emulate TV churches
Because they were wealthy and had some perches;
He wooed NBC
And started to see
How TV does lead to ugly besmirches.

Tom Silly could sing and was charismatic
Except when he was allergy asthmatic;
He’d capture the eye
Of our Princess Di
And drive off in her Bentley automatic.

Surprisingly our Silly was poetic;
His face was so easily sympathetic.
A beauty named Sue
Said she would be true
If he found her pretty sexy magnetic!

Sue lied about fidelity; she bent for
Kith and kin and everyone who always swore
They loved her truly
And were unruly
When they did chuck her after four, or before.

Silly Sam was thus betrayed and had no clue
Who was the baby’s father, blue and so true;
He did the DNA,
One day in may
And found it was his father who had her, too.

Marie was furious and ran away, eh?
She moved back to Capri and had her court day;
The rabbi paid
When he got laid,
And is a buzz in Hudson’s Bay, yet today.

THE END
