World War Three
A Commentary
By Izzy Ess of Wilderness

World War Three is rather comical and scary, simultaneously.  The cast of characters was visible because of worldwide television taking over from the newsreels at the movie houses.  Now internet has made it possible to see the real or often staged and bloody skirmishes at any time.  WWIII is still ongoing, bold opponents prominent, from time to time, and changing very slowly.  The Russians and Americans began it at the end of WWII.  WWIII began in Germany with some awkward re-apportionments of territories to the Allies and the Russians who defeated Axis with the unconditional surrenders of the main protagonists, Die Deutschland und the Nippon, during 1945. The Harry S. of “THE BUCK STOPS HERE!” true Truman, who did give the signal for the A-Bomb to be dropped on Hiroshima and on Nagasaki.  He was heroic figure-head of USA and later re-elected when the Taft was unexpectedly defeated in the next elections, in America, in 1948.  The Josef Stalin, paranoid and underhanded, had arranged the killing of some tens of millions of his own brave citizens, to keep his power quite intact.  The USSR had usurped all the management and riches of so many countries from the Baltic to the Bering Seas and from the Arctic Circle to the Indian big Ocean.  The Americans, with Truman and then Eisenhower, sought to gain control of half of Germany and half of the Korea and the Okinawa, and some other Islands in the Orient.  The Americans were quite defeated by the clever Ho Chi Minh, in North and Southern Viet Nam, who wrote the rules of new guerrilla warfare, which included screaming “Peace, Negotiation and Unfairness,” while he fought throughout the peace talks and ensured his wins with overwhelming numbers.  His rule was “Never fight a battle without ensuring that you have a victory by simply having much more fighting men around than any enemy.”  Apparently, the Americans were always ill-equipped and unprepared, by reputation.  Perhaps, this statement is, in fact, a bit of Oriental propaganda.  The Armageddon was so embarrassing, the Americans “lost face,” an attitude supported by Jane Fonda and her brave associates who made associations with the Ho Chi Minh who still does lead his country in its struggles to be independent of both Russia and America.  Later Fidel Castro shamed the Americans and JFK by defeating his misguided war on the beaches of the Bay of Pigs.  The other tragi-comedy was Khrushchev banging shoes on tables at the United Nations, saying, “We will eat you!”  Luckily, the JFK armed forces faced the Russian ships all loaded with huge missiles to be planted in the Cuba.  Luckily the Russians realized this would be nuclear, annihilating war and turned their ships around.  The tremendous stock-piling of nuclear heads on intercontinental rockets was so scary, just to say the least.  A small mistake in judgement would have killed us all beneath the clouds of radioactive materials and pulverized good earthen rocks.

Today, the WWIII is still ongoing with some bloody skirmishes in many areas, as was predicted by George Orwell and some other geniuses of the 1930s.  Nuclear stock-piling is subsiding while deadly biologic substances are being substituted for them.  The WWIII is now strongly fought in Stock Markets where financial ruin has already crushed a lot of countries as the Chinese and the Indians have taken over manufacturing and service markets in the world.  The USA and many other bankrupted countries are controlled now by the huge amounts of money that has accrued to China and to India, both about to top their populations over two billion, industrious brave citizens, who are now earning money at a greater rate than anyone predicted just ten years ago.  Many countries, such as North Korea and Iran have learned to “rattle sabres,” with their nuclear toy rockets, to attract attention to their needs to feed, provide health care, shelter and the stuff of living, to their growing populaces.  The Georgians and the Czechneans are pains in sides of Russians who have their eyes on oil and natural gas lines for selling fuel to Europe and the Asian countries.  Even Canada has such grand plans to rob the buried shale of oil and gas to sell to China, America and other countries who are short of energy producing products.  Drilling and constructing pipe-lines and shipping routes are activities that are quite obvious.  Fresh water and fresh air in large abundance in our country, Canada, may also be soon highly valued and dear commodities that may bring riches here to us, in the coming future of the world.

The above broad sweep of History is obviously prejudiced by my own personal feelings and experiences, as I read and see the News, today, and have seen, and heard, it in the past.  There is not a wish to see the future as a pessimistic mess.  I have the wish that folks of Peace and Harmony will see, and resist, the underlying self-destructive and the many outwardly directed strong hostilities, based on prejudices and some men’s and women’s wishes to be powerful.  Otherwise, the Second Coming and complete destruction of the Earth will come much sooner than the seven billion years it takes for the Earth to smash in to the Sun and be consumed by Fire.  My opinions are just my opinions, but they do mean a great deal to me, and hopefully to others who have similar ones.  May God forgive our sins.  May people love their neighbours and allow forgiveness of our silly errors in the mutual support of Love, not Fear nor Anger.  So be it!  Amen and Hallelujah.  May the words and thoughts of Jesus and Mahatma Ghandi come to the fore and be completely understood.  May Buddha and the Tao have meaning for the Westerners who want to rearrange the Earth to make it in their own unfortunate image.  May people find the Spirits in the trees and rocks, the wolves and elephants, the aardvarks and the armadillos, the fishes and the birds, the scorpions and ants and all the creatures and structures of the world, and free the Earth to heal itself, renew itself, and thus provide the bounty that it can, to take good care of us.

THE END

  1. CNN and BBC and other daily newscasts are full of news about WWIII. The present Syrian conflict supported on separate sides by Russia and the USA is so obvious a "cold war chess game" with possible annihilating consequences. I cannot possibly be the only one that sees the dangers and the game. The oriental chieftains used to play a game of GO on neutral territory to settle land claims, bloodlessly. Wouldn't that be a better game than WWIII?

  2. Pissing games between men is an old story. It's time we put the women in charge of power politics. They can't possibly play at pissing higher than opponents, or maybe I am wrong. Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir could piss pretty high at times. Indira Gandhi didn't
