AN ALABASTER AARDVARK
A Silly Sonnet
By Izzy Ess of Silliness
An alabaster aardvark was
accosted
By an elfin elephant who was
accustomed
To refined and cultured manners
when
He sallied out to meet his
friends upon
Three grassy knolls in
Alexander Park.
The aardvark recapitulated all
His idioms in order that he
would
Regain his self-respect. Unluckily
The elephant stepped on him and
he crushed
His armour into many
smithereens.
In Hudson’s Bay, the dolphins
play a song,
That differentiates what’s
right from wrong.
Suffice to say, in Mandalay,
the daily
Traffic rush is not a brush
with hay.
THE
END
