TWO
SHIPS AT NIGHT
A Wish and a Fear,
Simultaneously, eh?
By Izzy Ess of Noblesse Oblige
Two ships just passing in the
night, at risk for accidents, may hit each other stern to stern, or sidle up so
gently that exchange of personnel becomes a possibility. Exchange of fluids, could occur, but then a
disengagement must ensue, without entanglements. If not, one ship will be unbalanced and may
not be able to push off. The other ship will
be obliged to sink the other, killing all the sailors, or it will be kind and
tow the ship, at great expense for everyone, to safety in a haven where the
personnel of both will be enamoured with each other and restart a kinder kind
of high society.
Contentment,
not malaise,
would then
prevail. Greed, gluttony and murder,
coveting,
prevarication and
the sloth
would vanish. Lust would turn to love
and many
babies would be born in bliss
and
happiness. The sunshine would be
brighter
and be full of
ultraviolet
For growing
everything with green leaves, eh?
Or, one might
say it would predict the Green
Peace Movement
that is seen, today. In any
Case, the ship
that towed the other showed
A Menschlichen
good trait that would have led
to PEACE ON
EARTH, GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN AND WOMEN
AND THEIR
CHILDREN. Hallelujah and Amen!
Who knows what
would have happened had the Hebrews
Better
tolerated dogmata
A little
different than their own. Then they
Would have
made peace with Babylonians
And Persians
and Mesopotamians.
The
Canaanites, in fact, made friends quite easily
Amongst the
peoples of the Mediterranean
And they
opened up
Commercial
trading all around their world.
If Hebrews
would have been more friendly there
Might have
been established another atmosphere
Of
understanding and of mutual
Respect. Instead, they maintained very strict
Adherence to
their dogmata. They did
Help abetting the constant fighting that
Has been a
feature of the Middle East.
The Hebrews
could have joined with the swifter
Sailing
Phoenicians, also known as Canaanites
Or
Lebanese. In trading honestly
With all the people,
there had been exchange
Of notions that
would show that people are
Just people, whatever philosophy
They held, so
dear, at costs of lives and property.
Ishmael and
Isaac were half-brothers, allegorically.
The Jews and
Arabs could have kissed and made
Up,
peacefully, some thousand years before
The temple at
Jerusalem was built.
The blood of
innocents would not have been
Shed,
needlessly. Perhaps, I am a pollyana,
But I see no
reason why
The present
Peace Talks cannot be successful,
Eh?
IT’S NOT TOO LATE, in my
opinion! STOP THE BLOODSHED! Share some chicken soup and halvah, lox and
bagels, falafel and even pork, the other white meat. Its really luscious when prepared with care
and understanding that death will not occur because of eating pork or bloody
sausage, shell fish or those bottom feeders, lobster and the carp, clams and
oysters, quite despite what Jews and Arabs claim. All of us require food and water, proteins,
fats and carbohydrates, air and oxygen and security for our own families,
education and good health care. Check it
out! I have and it doesn’t kill one to
at least concede that everyone has goals that are similar and the the greedy
dominators will continue to harangue their followers unless we all stand up and
stop the non-sense that some spout.
Believe me! Not all Jews are
wealthy, smart and good at business.
Some, like me, are poor with handling of wealth and gold. Perhaps, some frankincense and myrrh should
get more mileage, and smooth the way for lasting Peace. And, we don’t have to kill another just
because our dogmata are different. The
Bible and Koran are distinctly much more similar than they are different. Why should dogmata dictate that one must kill
another if he preaches what he thinks is Truth, when the Truth is that we all
are human beings with personal goals that are strikingly similar, not
strikingly different. The few who choose
to agitate the masses with harangues of hatred, anger, envy and the use of
scapegoats, must be stopped. They must
be just ignored or else the genocidal acts, the border skirmishes and
out-and-out annihilations will not stop!
Revenge is deadly. Forgiveness is
sublime. Its painfully clear to me and
many people who have lost their kith and kin in world wars and crusades. Amen.
Sobeit! Hallelujah, eh?
THE END
