Oh no!
There’s more
limericks
IT’S ALMOST SUMMERTIME
by izzy ess of meaningless
A lovely
young lady from Framington
Succumbed
to a young man from Hamilton;
Behind the
red barn,
She was
spun a yarn,
About twins
who had some alarming fun.
Too soon,
they were virtually undermined
By yahoos
who felt they were over fined
Beyond a
five spot,
And over
the hot pot,
Which
savoured of flavour of Oval tine.
Suffice it
to say, in old Hudson’s Bay,
Larissa and
Franklin were heard to say,
“‘Twas
brillig and dark
That night
in the park --
Fire had
just mimed all the essence of hay!”
Aloft in
the clouds were our Elle and Effe,
Alone with
the works of Prokofiev;
The couple
did sing --
The bells
made a ding,
And
Tinkerbelle flew by the RAF.
It just
goes to show that when having to tow,
Conniving
is good and much finer to show;
The trouble
is hair,
Much
thinner than air,
Which
separates dough from the genuine heir.
When making
out lively on Strawberry Hill,
The waiter
presented his lovely the bill;
She quickly
demurred –
Disaster recurred
And down
came our Jilly and Jackie Seville.
It’s not
yet occurred to me,
What
serious malady
Befell Jay
and Jay,
Who had
much to say,
In New York’s
Schenectady.
Alright,
already, stop this limerick
Before the
readers transmit me a kick;
Soon it
will be dark,
So stormy
and stark,
That I cannot
find my nostrils to pick.
THE END
