YELLOW UMBRELLA
a LIMERICK
by izzy ess of silliness
A man with a yellow umbrella
Met Samuel, handsome, nice fella;
Juan said of his Sam,
We like lots of jam,
Salami and fine mortadella.
In Paris they acted like tourists
Vacationing dozens of florists;
They rode up the Seine
With persons insane,
Acting like juries, also jurists.
In Bern, Switzerland, and Port Colborne,
Juan told Samuel he had heartburn;
He took Milk of Mag,
Befitting the tag
That called for any rag to be torn.
In essence their friendship was happy;
And Juan's ear lobes were not so flappy.
They painted the town
In yellow and brown
And left all of us feeling sappy.
